Grouped Products

You spoke, we listened!

Products are now grouped on the printer receipts. No more mile long receipts with large orders!

It will now show as:

Quantity x Product ID - Product Description £price

Then at the bottom left it shows the full price of all the items and any any options.

Not a huge change but should save the trees and save time.

Restart your app to get this latest update.

Reports and improvements

Yet another bumper update from us again.

 

NEW

 

[StoreManager] More reports! We released we lacked any kind of useful and usable reports, to make up for it we have just launched 7! Yes! 7 reports. The reports that we have launched are:

  • Sales by Product
  • Sales by Category
  • Sales by Hour
  • Collection / Delivery Split
  • Customer Breakdown
  • Cash / Card Split
  • Promotions
  • VAT Breakdown

You should see these in the sidebar now under "Reports". With up and coming updates we will introduce the ability to export them to Excel and CSV. If you want to see your favourite report available for use let us know and we will look at adding it.

[SystemWide] We now support multi currency! We now support Euros, USD, AUS and of course GBP. I you need your currency changed please raise a ticket with support.

   

Bug Fixes

 

[OrderPrinter] We found an issue where audio on OrderPrinter wouldn't stop when a new order was missed and auto declined by the system. This has now been told to keep quiet when auto declined.

[StoreFront] A issue arose with the time slots when a store is open over 12am leading to incorrect slots being shown for that day. Slots are now correct when the time gets closer to 12am.

[StoreFront] Improved the reliability of releasing unused slots of abandoned orders.

Settings Page Changes

We have 'unjankified' i.e. Removed needless clutter and pointless things from the store settings pages so they are now easer to use and understand. This is also to let us add in some new features that we are working on so watch this space.

We have done some changes to the store look and feel as well. Mainly making some icons and buttons follow the stores colour scheme. Also fixed was the header image on the checkout screens as it was being stretched out.

To round it off there has been bugs squished and fixes to some links that were broken (Whoops!) so things should run even more smoother now too.

OrderPad and Delivery Slots

Bumper Update Time!

Things might have been quiet here but they haven't been quiet at TAPN.TO HQ.

Today we see the launch of 2 new features.

First up is the biggest feature since our launch and we call it OrderPad. OrderPad is our web browser based order receiving system. Meaning no need for one of our OrderPrinters meaning you don't have to wait for one to arrive from us to get started, so you can get setup in under 24 hours. We have also included an Order Preparation Screen (OPS) so any remote station can receive the order as well when its accepted and will update OrderPad when the order is ready. (Ideal for complying with Social Distancing requirements). To get started OrderPad and the OPS system take a look at our Knowledge Base article here.

Our second new feature is limiting the number of orders per time slot. This is available separately for delivery and collection orders to suit your exact needs. Along with this we have introduced setting the time between slots. This is set at a default of 15 minutes. To get started with this take a look at our Knowledge Base article here.

Base Order Time

You can now change the base time order orders. Changing the base time will set a lower limit for orders to be ready or delivered. The system automatically adjusts this time based on how busy you are but this setting stops it going under and becoming an unattainable time frame.

PWA and Store Settings Updates

This week we've made a number of improvements and bug fixes to the front end cart, specifically on mobile devices. We've improved the usability of the PWA mobile app in general too. Also, we've added the ability to change your minimum collection/delivery times within the store manager. You can find the option to change this under the Store Settings tab.

Blocking Orders

A simple one this time. You can now block email and phone numbers from ordering! Not something you should ever have to do but there may be times when it's necessary.

To block an email or phone number just go into a customer or an order within the Store Manager and click on the block button next to it.

If you have accidentally blocked someone you shouldn't have, go into the customer list view and into the "Blocked List"

Translations on receipts

We didn't think we could get this out the door for a while yet, but we have now just introduced Translations on receipts!

Your customers won't see anything different when they checkout, but you now have the ability to add product translations that get printed alongside the standard product text.

To get started with this all you need to do is edit your Products, Options and Modifiers in the Store Manager to include these translations. It will work for all languages from Chinese, Korean or Japanese to German, French or Spanish!

Big news today, we're starting a public changelog so you're always up to date with all the updates, improvements and fixes that are made in TAPN.TO.

Even though we work on TAPN.TO all the time, sometimes it may seem that not much is happening. This changelog is here to improve that very important part of the communication between you and us.

You'll always receive an update when we change something in the widget, or if needed all things we've changed is available on our public changelog page.
