v2.17

New features

Free trial volume credits

  • Try Payzip completely - for free! New clubs can collect up to £100 by card (including Apple Pay / Google Pay). We’ll pay the service and processing fees for you, meaning you can see if Payzip is right for your club, risk-free! If you’re an existing club, don’t worry we’ve applied the credit to your account too 😃

Fixes and improvements

  • We’ve added a label to indicate when your available balance is below the minimum payout amount of £10.00.
  • We’ve also removed the minimum payout amount from your first payout.
  • When you try and send an email to address that doesn’t exist anymore, the Invalid emails table has now been moved higher up on the dashboard so it’s the first thing you see when you log in.
  • If you have a member account, we now calculate your stats on all the clubs you are a member of, not just the first club.
  • We’ve updated some of the language used in our emails to better reflect the recent changes we’ve made to the system.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.16

New features

New onboarding flow

  • We’ve improved the onboarding flow for new users, making it much easier to understand the next steps when signing up for the first time. You will now be signposted to either; create a new club if you’re part of the club administration and want to use Payzip to collect money from your members; earn money by recommending clubs to Payzip through our affiliate programme or simply signing up as a member if you want to view a history of your club invoices.

Fixes and improvements

  • We’ve made even more speed improvements to the load times on various pages, so Payzip should feel really snappy no matter how many payments you’ve received or invoices you’ve sent.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.15

New features

Automatic reminders

  • We now send automatic reminders for your invoices just before and just after they go overdue. Take a look at your club settings for more info.

Fixes and improvements

  • We've drastically reduced the amount of time it takes for your clubs stats to load.
  • We added this nice release notes widget so you always know what's new.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.14

Fixes and improvements

  • We’ve shortened the url for Pings, so now they look better but work exactly the same.
  • The reminder lock timer has been reduced from 3 hours to 30 minutes. This is still long enough to stop you inadvertently bombarding your members with reminders.
  • When you add a note to a Ping, we now show the note icon to let you know there is a note attached to a member’s response.
  • We’ve added a warning when accidentally clicking off the Create Ping window which should stop you losing any unsaved changes.
  • We’ve updated the support Beacon to be page aware now, so it will show you relevant articles depending on the page your are currently on.
  • When you, or a member of your admin team, edits an invoice, we now add that to the Activity & notes section of the invoice.
  • Any invoices that have been customised from the original now have a Custom label to help them stand out from the others.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.13

New features

Credits

  • Sometimes you will have sent an invoice to a member and for whatever reason that invoice is no longer going to be paid. Rather than let it sit there and mess up your figures, you can now add a credit to the invoice which will clear the balance and remove it from your list of outstanding invoices. You can also add a credit to an invoice that has manual payments listed against it. For more information about credits, check out the knowledgebase.

Support

  • We’ve added the knowledgebase directly into Payzip, so you can access it from anywhere within the system. It’s also context aware, so you can access the help docs you need when you need them. You can also chat directly with us when we’re around to help.

Fixes and improvements

  • We’ve replaced the omni-plus button with a Quick add drawer (it’s now yellow and located on the right-hand side of the screen). This gives you quick access to some of the main features of Payzip. Give it a try!
  • We’ve added line breaks to the comments and footer sections of the invoice, so your messaging appears how you intended.
  • We’ve made some tweaks to the way we handle discounts to make them work as you’d expect.
  • We’ve added the ability to filter your members by those who are not in a group where you see the group filter.
  • We’ve improved the way we handle deleting and editing invoices.
  • We’ve improved the messaging that appears when trying to view invoices on older devices.
  • We’ve reduced the minimum amount of an online payment to £0.50 and now warn you when the remaining balance is below this on an invoice.
  • You can now create an invoice or a Ping with an emoji in the title. Yay!
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.12

New features

Discounts

  • When creating an invoice for the first time, you can now add a discount by inserting a line item with minus amount. You can do this to the main invoice batch or to an individual invoice when you get to the customisation step. This is a great way to add a discount to an invoice and let the member know they have received their discount when they get the invoice. For more information about discounts, check out the knowledgebase.

Fixes and improvements

  • You can now preview Pings as a member so you can see what your members will see when you’ve created a Ping.
  • You can now preview invoices ‘as a member’ so you can see what your members will see when you’ve created an invoice.
  • When we approve your club account, we now tell you the rate that has been applied to your account in the confirmation email.
  • We’ve moved group settings from settings in the sidebar and given them their own top-level place, which makes it easier for you to find.
  • You can now bulk delete members from your member list rather than having to delete each one individually.
  • We’ve added the ability to duplicate an invoice that you’ve previously created. Currently this is just the wording used in Step 1 but expect more improvements to follow in future releases.
  • Clicking Create club on the member dashboard now tells you what to expect when creating a club.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.11

Fixes and improvements

  • Pings without an amount are now easier to distinguish from those with an amount throughout the system.
  • We’ve made improvements to deleting, stopping and editing a Ping so now all these actions work as expected. You can now delete a single response to a free Ping, or delete the Ping entirely.
  • We’ve also improved the messaging the member sees when trying to pay for a Ping that no longer exists.
  • Your admin team members can now see all Pings and create Pings of their own like they already can with invoices.
  • Pings are now ordered in a more useful way. Active Pings that are closest to ending are listed at the top and those with no end date below them. Pings that have ended are listed next, most recently closed at the top so you can find them more easily.
  • Pings that will end today are now also shown on the main Payzip dashboard.
  • You can now use more than just alpha-numeric characters in the title of a Ping which is much more useful than before.
  • Various wording and UI tweaks in the emails that get sent to your members.
  • Various optimisations for the mobile view of Pings that your members see.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.10

New features

Pings

  • We’ve listened and we are pleased to announce the first version of Pings. While we love invoices, sometimes you don’t always know which members want to sign up to something, be that an upcoming tour, a place-limited session or ordering new kit. Pings allows you to create a payment link and send it to your members in the channels you already use to communicate with them. We’ve also added a handy way to email all (or some) of your members so no one misses the opportunity to get involved. For more information about Pings, check out the knowledgebase.

Fixes and improvements

  • Improvements to the way overdue invoices work. Sometimes they were going overdue before the actual due date, now they don’t.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.9

New features

Affiliates

  • Introducing the Payzip Affiliate Programme! Now you can earn money for your club, charity, or just yourself! Introduce clubs to Payzip and enjoy 10% commission of the service fee for card payments, for life! Read more and sign up here.

Fixes and improvements

  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.

v2.8

Fixes and improvements

  • Huge performance improvement - we now store and calculate your available and pending club balances instead of retrieving them from Stripe each time.
  • More performance improvements - data is now paginated at the server, so your data gets to your browser faster.
  • We’ve improved how the Payzip front-end handles API requests. Take our word for it on that one.
  • When Payzip takes your first card payment, we send you an email. We had a bug where that only happened if the first payment for the club was a card payment (rather than cash, cheque etc.). Now the email is sent whenever you actually take your first card payment.
  • When filtering a table involving members, Payzip was only showing one group maximum per member. It now shows all groups for all members, behind the usual numbered group button, where you click to view them all.
  • When applying a filter or an additional filter to a table, Payzip now switches to page 1 of the results, as you’d expect.
  • Clicking through to the next page at the bottom of a table used to leave the view at the bottom of the table, which is of little use to anyone. We now show the top of the table when showing a new page, which is more likely what you want to see.
  • The “loading data” spinners now disappear when Payzip is done presenting the data. Previously they disappeared in-between receiving the data and presenting it in your browser.
  • Payzip protects you from inadvertently nagging members by placing a minimum 3-hour window between sending reminders. However, this was being enforced when resending after a member’s email address was edited, so we now treat these as separate actions.
  • After creating a new invoice, it wasn’t added to the Invoices index page until it was refreshed. We now update the page automatically after the invoice is created.
  • Performance improvement - when opening an invoice we now show the window first and continue loading data in the background.
  • On mobile, we’ve added a “Show more” button when there are more than 15 invoices to show. Pressing it will give you the next 15 invoices.
  • Club admins paying their own invoices in the “My invoices” view were switched to their club dashboard upon payment. Admins now stay in “My invoices” until they’re ready to switch views themselves.
  • After editing an invoice, Payzip is meant to pre-select all members for you, so you can easily resend the updated invoice. Now it does.
  • Removing a club admin whilst they were still logged-in caused the app to crash if that admin refreshed their browser page. Now it either switches them to another club, if they are an admin elsewhere, or shows the “My invoices” page if not.
  • Various internal fixes, process and performance improvements.
