Announcing README: an Employee Bio Feature that fosters employee communication

New

TTTRE.png

README is our custom bio feature that helps employees like you kickstart easy conversations with colleagues in neighboring departments, understand the requirements and expectations of different roles in your organization, and share working style with the humans in your company.

Is there a communication gap at work?

Regardless of the nature of your job, human interaction at work is often constrained to work hours. Here are a few reasons why:

  • Departments and teams are result-driven.
  • Most work environments don't encourage human interactions.
  • Everyone is busy.

How does README Help?

README allows you to set the tone for productive acquaintanceship with a list of tips that provide your colleagues with all they need to know to work better with you. Here are some things you can do with README:

  1. Define your work duties. You can highlight all responsibilities associated with your role, including how your work contributes to the company’s objectives. You won’t have to remind anyone manually again.
  2. Create a bio that introduces you to colleagues. No one turns down a good story. Your bio is the canvas for illustrating any story you’re comfortable sharing.

  1. Highlight principles and value systems for improved workplace performance. You can inform colleagues, partners, and clients of your preferences for communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
  2. Boost partnership at work. README allows you to learn what other people in your company are up to.
  3. You can tweak the template to include business targets and self-development goals. The custom template helps team leads and managers collate weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.

With README, we’re certain that your workplace interactions will move from formal to friendly, aiding productive performance all year long.

At Onboardly, our vision is to build a product that automates all HR & IT operations, helping recruiters, HRs, and company leaders focus on the more important work of keeping employees happy and working together to grow the organization.

We are constantly seeking new ways to improve the productivity of HRs and employees.

July Updates - Shiny new look and some new features

New

At Onboardly, we’re always innovating and building new features to empower you to automate your employee management and make it a breeze. From making it possible to create offer letters in 90 seconds to onboarding new hires in less than 2 minutes.

Today, we are releasing the biggest changes we've ever made since we started Onboardly and we hope you are as excited as we are.

What's new?

New design: We redesigned the whole application from scratch with three goals in mind:

  • Make the platform more mobile friendly
  • Show more information and actions at a glance
  • Focus on simplicity.

OnboardlyIT Integration: We released OnboardlyIT last month to much fanfare, however, we realized we were causing friction and taking away the seamlessness of the product by requiring that users create a new account to use OnboardlyIT. With the new release, we have merged OnboardlyIT and OnboardlyHR together into one platform. This means from your old Onboardly account, you can now install and manage the applications you use in your organization.

Offboarding: One of our most requested features is the ability to make employee offboarding as easy as we've made employee onboarding. Now, with the click of a button, you can remove an exiting employee from your company apps and systems and not have to worry about forgetting anything.

What's next?

Our vision has always been to build a product that does all the heavy lifting for you and gives you the time to do the more important work of making your employees happy.

We will spend the next week cleaning up the new platform, fixing bugs and taking your feedback.

Having all these features in one place to play with got us thinking about better and bigger features that we could add.

Before the end of the month, we have some big features we will be releasing and cannot wait to share them with you.

We'll love to hear from you

We will love to hear your thoughts and feedback about the new design and features. If you have any troubles or encounter any errors, please do not hesitate to chat with us or send us an email at support@onboardlyhq.com
