Product groups let you share review content across multiple products.
When you navigate to the products section, you can click create product group on an individual products page.
This product becomes the lighthouse for all others in the group. Meaning when you add other products, they'll inherit the traits (or lack thereof) of the lighthouse product. Products can only ever exist in one product group.
Adding products to a group is as simple as searching & clicking add to group.
There are two primary use cases for product groups:
- Subscription stores: most subscription providers like ReCharge & Bold require you to make a second product for a subscription. This should share reviews with your one-time purchase product
- Products with very small variances: Sometimes products with small differences like size will show as different, these should be able to share reviews
Product groups has been rigorously beta tested & is live today for all accounts on Standard and above.
