This version drops with a few new goodies and changes.

Here's the tldr:

1. Drag and drop is no more. We decided to pull this feature for a little while as we add some more features to Clew. You'll be able to add/remove items from Stacks as usual, using the new "Stack" button on search results.
2. Shareable Stacks: Once you've added someone to your team bar, you'll be able to invite them to view or collaborate on any Stack. You can also create & share a Stack via a link.
3. A new dark-mode inspired theme that's consistent across the board.

We've been testing Stacks internally for a while now, super excited to share it with everyone with today's update!

Stacks give you the ability to organize your files inside Clew. You can quickly drag and drop files from any of your tools, directly into Stacks and have them organized for access later.

Some users noticed that their ESC key didn't work on other apps when they had Clew running; this issue has been fixed in this update.

New feature and pesky bug fix ahead!

🆕We're releasing the first preview of pin updates. Your pinned files will now show you updates and comments that happened on files since you last opened them. The feature is now available for Figma and will be available for all relevant integrations soon!

How do I use it?

1. Pin the files that you access frequently.
2. Clew will automatically check for changes from these files and display them right under the file.
3. The little updates that are shown go away if you open the file. This way you'll only ever see changes that happened since you last opened it.

🐞Some older versions of the app sometimes showed several app update notifications at once. This was absolutely not our intention and it's been fixed in this version.

Note; when upgrading to this version you may notice that your existing pinned files may disappear. Apologies for the inconvenience in advance! We made some major changes to how pins work in order to support inline-updates and we had to abandon the old pinning system to make it happen.

• The Clew window can now be dragged around and placed anywhere on your screen.

  To reposition, click down near the search bar (where it says "type here to search anything") and move your cursor while clicking down. Clew will remember its position and show up where you last placed it anytime you show/hide Clew.

• Small improvements to the settings menu on the bottom right of the app.

Introducing keyboard shortcuts

Once you've searched for something:

Navigation

• Press TAB to navigate down the list of search results
• SHIFT + TAB will take you up the list
• Press ENTER to open the focused file

Tip

If you press TAB when there are no search results displayed, the focus will automatically go to the files you have pinned. In effect, you can open Clew (OPTION + SPACE), hit TAB to navigate to the pinned file you want, and press ENTER to open it without ever having to use your cursor.

Additionally

When opening Clew via the keyboard shortcut (option + space ), the app will now always automatically focus on the search bar so you can type without having to manually click on the search bar.

Introducing a fresh, dark-mode first design for Clew.

• Fixed auto-updater. Spotty internet connection while the app's downloading an update sometimes caused an error that required restarting the app. This issue has been fixed.
• Clicking on an avatar on the team-bar will now open a list of files shared between you and them.

It's finally here! 🎉

A few key improvements and changes:

• No more Workspaces. You can now simply invite anyone to collaborate from within the app using their email address. If they're a member of Clew we'll ping them on their app, otherwise, we'll send them an email to get them set up with Clew.
• We've introduced hints for /slash commands. Just type a "/" into the search bar to see a list of commands available to you, and how to use them.
• We've made app updates more seamless. Updates for Clew are now automatically downloaded in the background. You'll get a notification and a small notice within the app to close and reopen it to finish installing the update; and that's all there is to it.

The third decimal version bump really does this update injustice. We've shipped a brand new look for Clew and made improvements across the app in anticipation of our version 1.0 launch.
