We're happy to announce that the new Google Sheets Integration is now live in your account. Mega Ultra Yeah! 😜

This means you can now connect using oAuth with your Google Account inside the Integration Manager. Then, on the Composer, you find the Google Sheets Card. Use this to drag 'n drop yourself automations using Sheets!

You already know Clever Messenger makes it extremely easy to set up a chatbot. But, managing bot content can still be a real pain if you're not tech-savvy by heart. Especially frequently changing content, or dynamic content if you will, can be quite to manage. With Google Sheet as your CMS, you don't have to rely on programming or code any longer! πŸ’ͺ

We start off this new Integration with 2 different Actions:

βœ… Insert Row - Inserts a Row with desired data in your desired Google Sheet.

With this first release, you can forward any data to a Google Sheet you want by creating a new Row. I.E. You can forward subscriber data like Email Address, Custom Fields, and more to Google Sheets. Simply fill out a couple of fields, point 'n click a couple of times, and data is transferred over to GSheets where you can further automate everything you like. 🀯

Great, right? So, this is only the first release! We're going to give you even more power to your chatbot with this Google Sheets integration shortly - keep an eye out for coming Thursday.

We squashed some bugs and made some improvements. As a result, Clever Messenger is now even more awesome! πŸŽ‰

Here's what's going on:

✴️ Improvement - Custom roles add on is added to the team roles feature.

✴️ Improvement - Facebook page covers are now stored in CDN for faster loading.

✴️ Improvement - New API Endpoint that allows users to fetch flow cards.

βœ… Fixed - Main Menu list page had broken links which lead to a 404 error on main menu pages. This is now fixed.

βœ… Fixed - Hubspot lists not loading. This is now fixed.

βœ… Fixed - A bug that led to personalization tags to not be added to the text inputs is now fixed.

✴️ In progress - Custom Fields are sometimes added at the end of the text instead of the desired position.

We just released the first version of the highly anticipated Team Roles feature! It's already live in your account! That's right, you can now add team members to help manage your chatbot on Clever Messenger. Whoop whoop! πŸ’ͺ πŸŽ‰

Now, before you go and check it out, I want to invite you to stick around and help yourself understand how this works. See, what's great is that your team members can be added bearing different roles. Your team is restricted depending on what you, as a team leader, want them to see and/or edit.

πŸ”₯ We've created some Default Roles you can play with already:

βœ… Admin: Full Access

βœ… Editor: Full Access Except for Team Roles & Refresh Permissions

βœ… Live Chat Agent: Full Access To Live Chat

βœ… Marketer: Full-Access to Live Chat, Composer & Broadcasts

βœ… Analyst: Read-Only Access to everything Analytics and Statistics

Coming to Default Roles:

βœ… Viewer: Read-Only Access to everything in chatbot

✨ Coming - Custom Roles:

Now, we wouldn't be Clever Messenger if we didn't go the extra mile. So, in order to give you 100% control over your team and clients, we're going to release Custom Roles this week too. This basically means that if you don't see a Default (or coming Role) that's covering your specific use case… you should wait for the Custom Role feature that's getting released this week.

Why? Well… Because the Custom Role feature allows you to create your very own Team Roles! And, savvy as you are, you know that this gives you total control over what you want your Team Members to see and/or edit. We reveal how this works when we release this extra feature.

πŸ”₯ How to Access the Team Feature

You access the Team Roles feature on Page Level. The Cogwheel gives you a choice to either navigate to the Configure Page, or to the Team Roles page.

πŸ”₯ Adding a New Team Member

Once you're on the Team Page, click on Create New in the upper-right corner:

This opens the Add Team Member Modal, select a Role from the drop-down:

Enter the email address of the member you'd like to add, and click Invite.

πŸ‘‰ If the team member already has a Clever Messenger Account:

Your team member will receive an email with an activation link. Clicking the activation link will show the Facebook Page added to their Account Level. This means your team member can now go to Page Level of the page you've given them access to. Team members can now view/edit based on the permissions you've given to them. Once a Team Member activated himself by clicking on the link, it now also shows in the table in the Team Page table as Activated.

πŸ‘‰ If the team member doesn't have a Clever Messenger Account:

Your team member will receive an email with an activation link. Clicking the activation link will prompt them to add their First and Last Name. A new (restricted) team account will be created. The team member will receive an email with Login Details. And their account will show the Facebook Page added to their Account Level. This means your team member can now go to Page Level of the page you've given them access to. Team members can now view/edit based on the permissions you've given to them. Once a Team Member activated himself by clicking on the link, it now also shows in the table in the Team Page table as Activated.

✏️ Editing a Team Member

Editing a Team Member is easy! Click on Actions in the Row corresponding with the Team Member you'd like to edit as shown in the screenshot:

Click on Role, this opens up the Edit Team Member Modal:

Select the Role you want, and click Save.

πŸ—‘ Deleting a Team Member

Deleting a Team Member is even easier! Click on Actions in the Row corresponding with the Team Member you'd like to edit as shown in the screenshot:

Click on Delete, a Modal asking you for confirmation pops-up:

Click Confirm to Delete the Team Member.

Here's a small glossary of what you can see in your Team table:

βœ… Email - The email address of the Team Member

βœ… Status - Shows either Invited or Active

βœ… Role - The Role that applies to this Team Member

βœ… Join Date - The Date of Joining

βœ… Last Login Date - The Last Login

βœ… Actions - Editing the Team Role, or Deleting The Team Member

❓Frequently Asked Questions about Team Feature:

Q: Who can create templates out of the bot?

A: Only Admins and Editors have the permissions to do this.

Q: What can the Live Chat Agent see?

A: A Live Chat Agent can only access the Live Chat tab in your dashboard. If you want a Support Agent Role, you can create that with the Custom Role feature.

Q: For how long is an invitation link in the email valid?

A: The link in the activation email doesn’t expire unless you delete the pending member from your table.

Q: How many people can use the same invite link?

A: Only the person corresponding with the team member's email address you added. This means; 1 person.

Q: What to do if a person can’t log into the bot after I sent the invite?

A: First of all, make sure that they accepted the invite you sent over. You're able to confirm this by checking the Team Table on the Team Page. If it's marked as Invited, they still need to activate their account. If you can see them marked as Activated, that means they accepted the invite, and they need to log in properly. If the issue persists. You can instruct your team member to clear their browser cache and then trying to log in again. If that doesn’t work, they can report this to the support team by sending a screenshot of the error to support@clevermessenger.com.

βœ… Fixed - The Bulk Delete action in the table on the Broadcast Page was not working. This is now fixed.

βœ… Fixed - The Breadcrumbs on Account Level appeared differently to FireFox users. This is now fixed.

βœ… Fixed - The Infinite scroll in Templates Marketplace did not trigger when scrolled to the end of the page due to the sum of scroll height and view port height not being equal to document height. This is now fixed.
