Morris.js is now a featured app

Morris.js, a free open-source little gem for SVG-based JavaScript charts, has been added to our list of featured applications.

We start with two dedicated color palettes, using some Morris.js internal color sets. One template has been created with the default look and feel of their chart samples. Morris.js supports as basic chart types the vertical column charts, line and area charts, and the donut charts. There are no horizontal bar charts and no pie charts.

Welcome to Chart.js

Chart.js, a free and open-source HTML5 canvas-based JavaScript charting library, becomes the latest app featured on our website. It's still a work-in-progress, but we already implemented most basic features and builtin chart types. We created a color palette with colors from their samples, and three chart templates with their most common look.

Chart Templates Officially Released

We officially launch today our Chart Templates site to the masses. Chart Templates is an online productivity lab, to save time and money for software developers using chart applications.

We advertise for free charts with Highcharts, CanvasJS, AnyChart, amCharts, FusionCharts, Syncfusion, Shield UI, Google Charts, jqPlot, and the Microsoft ASP.NET Chart control. More products will be gradually added.

AnyChart 8 Released

AnyChart released the new major version 8. It is modular and it has many new features and chart types. We're still using the latest 7 version, but we will adapt soon all our scripts to this version 8.

Highcharts 6 Released

Highsoft released the new major version 6 for Highcharts, Highstock and Highmaps. There have been some great new chart types and features, and we adapted all our chart templates to use these new scrips.

While our remote CDN scripts always point to the latest Highcharts and Highstock versions, you may need to refresh (once) the page using these charts.

We're in beta testing!

Features have been frozen. We test the main website navigation and usage scenarios. We fix the priority issues.

We'll take a few days to notify featured chart vendors and analyze their feedback.

CanvasJS v2.0 Release

CanvasJS released major new version 2.0 in beta. There have been some great new chart types and features, and we adapted our own chart templates as it follows:

Going HTTPS

We switched to SSL! All our former HTTP pages are now automatically redirected to their HTTPS new versions. All but those of our blog.chart-templates.com subdomain, which will remain HTTP. Even if we still have plenty of old embedded charts using HTTP.

Pros:

  • better security: all content moving in and out is automatically encrypted.
  • charts published elsewhere with HTTPS, in secure pages, are no longer hidden by browsers like Chrome.
  • we'll be able to allow logins with Google, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  • we'll be able to eventually extend payment options.
  • we'll be able to provide safe scripts for external playground like jsFiddle and CodePen, which already moved to SSL.

Launching Very Soon

No longer in maintenance mode, but still in testing. Switched to premium templates and live payments, but still just for test purposes. Unknown user accounts will not be accepted at this phase.

Under Maintenance

Yes, we keep working on the website and we'll launch it soon!

Until further notice, we redirect all public request to the "Under Maintenance" page. We'll advertise our grand opening on social networks and through Press Releases.

No published changelogs yet.
