The Contact Center will now display the count of unread messages across your location via the numerical badge icon on your Messages tab.
Unread messages will also be highlighted with a blue dot indicator to the right of the message thread preview.
Once a message thread is clicked opened, the badge notification number will reduce by the number of unread messages sent by the client. Additionally, a read receipt timestamp will display internally with name of the individual at your business location who had originally read the message along with the date and time that the message was read.
Once a message is read and a response has been provided, you may still close out the message via the checkmark at the top right of the thread in order to manage your inbox. Any inbound messages from a closed thread will reopen the thread and will be indicated by a new, unread message notification.
